Child Safety Standards

Miauly · Child safety and CSAE standards · Updated 24 September 2026

These standards apply to Miauly, the social and community-cat service available through miauly.cat and the Miauly Android app. Miauly does not permit child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a child is prohibited on Miauly.

Prohibited conduct and content

Users must not use Miauly to create, upload, share, request, promote, facilitate or link to content or conduct involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child. This includes CSAM, grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion, sexual trafficking of a child, sexual solicitation of a child, or other conduct that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a minor.

Attempts to use cat profiles, comments, photos, videos, Community posts, profile information or any other Miauly feature for such conduct are prohibited.

How to report a concern

Miauly provides in-app reporting tools on user-generated content and profiles. Where a Report action is available, use it and choose the closest applicable reason, then describe the child-safety concern in the report details. Users can also contact Miauly from Help & Support inside the app or email support@miauly.cat.

Do not download, copy or redistribute suspected CSAM in order to make a report. If a child appears to be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority.

How Miauly responds

When Miauly becomes aware of suspected CSAE or CSAM, we review the report and take action appropriate to the facts and applicable law. Actions may include removing or disabling access to content, restricting features, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving relevant information where legally required, and cooperating with lawful requests from competent authorities.

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination. Miauly may also act proactively when content or behaviour presents an immediate safety or legal risk.

CSAM and legal compliance

Miauly will remove or disable access to CSAM when we obtain actual knowledge of it and will handle reports and related records in accordance with applicable child-safety, privacy, evidence-preservation and reporting laws. Where the law requires a report to a competent authority or designated reporting organisation, Miauly will make that report.

This contact is monitored for child-safety concerns and compliance enquiries.

Age eligibility

Miauly is intended for people aged 16 and over. Miauly does not ask for or store a date of birth during registration. This minimum-age rule does not reduce the child-safety standards above: suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation must still be reported and will be handled under these standards and applicable law.

Related policies

These standards supplement the Miauly Terms & Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. Miauly may update these standards as the service, applicable law or safety practices change.
